New seminar programme at East of England Smithfield Festival

A seminar programmecovering a range of financial and technical topics for livestock producers willbe a new feature of the East of England Smithfield Festival, thanks to supportfrom HSBC Bank.

The programme willcommence with a seminar given by Allan Wilkinson, HSBCs Head of Agricultureentitled ‘Financing the opportunities open to UK agriculture’.

Commenting on theBanks support Mr Wilkinson said: “The Smithfield name is synonymous withfirst class prime stock. HSBC Agriculture is very pleased to support thedevelopment of a seminar programme that means the East of England SmithfieldFestival not only displays some of the country’s finest cattle, but helpsstimulate debate on the business aspects of producing meat animals.”

We are delighted tobe able to initiate this programme to complement the Festival, said Charles Horrell,chairman of the organising committee. It adds to the reasons why this premierlivestock event is a must attend for livestock producers. Alongside some ofthe finest livestock, we have a strong line up of trade stands ranging fromfeedstuffs to veterinary products, from cattle handling facilities to livestockand forage machinery.

The East of EnglandSmithfield Festival takes place at the East of England Showground, Peterboroughon 5th and 6th December, 2013. Gates open at 8am each dayand entry is free.
