James Clark (centre) shakes hands on the deal with Graham Parker watched by Great Plains UK sales director David Holmes.
Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd – one of Great Plains’ longest serving dealers – is being appointed to cover Norfolk and adjoining parts of Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.
The move means Ernest Doe & Sons will now offer Great Plains’ ranges of cultivation equipment, drills, planters and seeders from all its 10 Ernest Doe branches.
Sales Director, Graham Parker says the move is significant for the company; “We are looking forward to increased business and to introducing the Great Plains franchise through our branches at Wymondham and North Walsham.
“We see a great deal of potential in Norfolk for machines like the UniPress, as well as for the Centurion drill, for which we already have a full programme of demonstrations arranged”.
Great Plains Territory Manager, James Clark adds; “From Great Plains’ point of view, it is very reassuring to be able to place this important region in the hands of Ernest Doe, which was one of the first companies to take on the original Simba franchise, and which has always represented the company with great professionalism and success.
“We believe the dealer will be able to offer a full range of our machines in the region as it has such variable soils – ranging from very heavy, clay-based ones to light and sandy types”.
The full Great Plains range will now be offered through Ernest Doe & Sons’ branches at; Benington, Braintree, Colchester, Fulbourn, Littleport, Marlesford, North Walsham, Rochford, Ulting and Wymondham.
