Increasedsales volumes have prompted Agrovista to add 14 further bespoke vehicles to its70-vehicle distribution fleet, serving customers from its 20 depots nationwide.The company says this represents a large commitment to the future ofagrochemical distribution.
The new 7.5tDAF lorries have highly efficient, low-emission Euro 6 engines and custom-builtbodies specially designed for Agrovista to enable the maximum possible payload.They can carry the entire range of products the company sells, includingagrochemicals, growing medium, equipment and tools. Under the company’s”Service to Customers” charter of no minimum order size, the vehiclesalso need to accommodate orders as small as a one-litre can.
“We wantto assure customers that we will have product to them in time for their plannedfield or glass house tasks, no matter what the order size. These vehicles givethe flexibility and efficiency to ensure that we have the logistics capacity todeliver this promise,” explains Chris Sprigg, Agrovista’s Distribution andHealth & Safety Manager.
Agrovistas safe,modern and efficient fleet of vehicles, which deliver direct to farm, rangesfrom 3.5t to 18t capacity. Agrovista employs over 100 people specifically forlogistics and distribution.
