Tractor sales up on 2013

Figures released by the AEA today (14th July) show tractor sales for the period January to June are slightly up on last year, the biggest increase being in the 141- 160hp class where sales rose by 21.9 per cent.

Total units sales for the six months of tractors over 50hp were 6,942, an increase of 265 over the same period in 2013.

Overall sales, including tractors under 50hp were also up, despite the sub-50hp sector suffering a drop of 27 units, equivalent to 5.5 per cent.

The sector which suffered the greatest decrease was tractors between 51-100hp, of which 840 units were sold, a drop of 18.8 per cent compared to 2013.
