Suffolk operator wins Farm Sprayer Award

Suffolk sprayer operator, Nick Light, has won a prestigious Syngenta FarmSprayer Operator of the Year Award 2015. Working for EJ Barker & Sons at LodgeFarm, Westhorpe, near Stowmarket, Nick demonstrated his high levels of skillsand practical knowledge of safe and effective spraying techniques.

Working across 600 hectares of combinable cropping, including linseedand grass seed, Robert has continued to hone his experience over recent years. Hewas praised for his use of social media and developing links with otherprofessional operators to share their understanding and expertise.

Presenting the Awards at the International Sprays& Sprayers Event, Syngenta Application Specialist, Ben Magri, said: TheFSOOTY Awards judge all aspects of farm spraying to identify the very bestoperators across the UK.

Nick has shown outstanding skills and works tovery high standards to achieve the best possible results. He hasproved a worthy winner by demonstrating that best practice can deliverefficient, cost effective and, above all, safe crop spraying.

 

Syngenta recognises that the skills of the sprayeroperator are paramount in achieving the full potential from all our cropprotection products, he added.
