Yield Enhancement Network – Finding & supporting arable innovators

With the support ofAHDB and the East of England Agricultural Society, ADAS has announced that the YieldEnhancement Network (YEN) will hold a series of events through 2016. These will be open to all potential sponsors and entrants in the 2016 YEN competition. The first event is:

National springYEN ideas lab open to all, 9.30am to 3.00pm on Tuesday 1st March2016 in the Peterborough Suite at the East of England Show ground, Oundle Road, Alwalton,Peterborough PE2 6XE

Programme:

     Short talks: On How yield is determined, and Enhancing Light and Water capture

     Break-out sessions: To develop ideas, and voting on the best ideas

     Details of the YEN,sponsorship and help in registering for the YEN Competition 2016.

Also, if you want to take advantage of free soil analysis (provided by NRM) for your YEN entry in2016, make sure that you register your 2016 YEN entry(ies) soon via theADAS website.

AHDB Cereals &Oilseeds will be holding 5 regional on-farm YEN events in May or June at AHDBMonitor Farms in England and Scotland.

Further details will be available from AHDB and at the YEN Ideas lab on 1st March. These will provide a chance to get out to inspect and discuss some YEN competitors crops. 

The annual YEN Awards meeting will be held on Thursday 24th November 2016 at the East of England Show ground, adds ADAS.
