New IDEAL from Massey Ferguson combine takes two top honours in Machine of the Year Awards at Agritechnica.
Hot on the heels of receiving an Agritechnica DLG Silver Medal for Innovation, the Ideal combine from Massey Ferguson has now clinched a prestigious Machine of the Year title as well as the coveted Public Vote Award.
“Agco is extremely proud of all our Brands, and the tremendous awards our teams have achieved,” said Agco Senior Vice President and General Manager, Europe and Middle East, Dr. Rob Smith.
Speaking at the awards ceremony at the Agritechnica Show in Hanover on 14 November, he added, “Each prize in itself is very exciting, and we are especially proud of the Public Vote Award. Not only have expert journalists recognised our exceptional Ideal Combine development, but it also took the highest share of the 50,000 votes cast, by farmers, users and machinery fans.”
Massey Ferguson vice president and managing director, Thierry Lhotte said “All of us at Massey Ferguson are extremely honoured to have received these prestigious awards for the Ideal from Massey Ferguson Combine. This new range of combines is a game changer that propels Massey Ferguson straight to the top of the harvesting business.”
The MF Ideal took the top honour in the Combine Harvester category, in the Machine of The Year, which is judged by an international jury of agricultural journalists from European trade magazines and is organised by Germany’s DLV publishing house.
Ideal from Massey Ferguson is a completely new, high performance combine harvester range designed using requirements taken directly from farmers and operators around the world. The range sets new levels of efficiency in the field and includes three models from 451 to 650hp firmly focussed on delivering significant gains in productivity and output.
“With the biggest integral grain-tank capacity now available on the European market, the fastest unloading rate and the largest threshing area, it’s exciting to see yet more top-level recognition for the exceptional new features on the MF Ideal,” says Massey Ferguson Market Development Manager Harvesting Adam Sherriff.
