The Sulky Kronos is a foldable tine seed drill enabling high working rates at the low cost.

Sulky importer Reco has announced the new Sulky Kronos tine seed drill which the company says provides accuracy and high speed drilling for low cost crop establishment

The new range includes three foldable models: 4.8m / 5.6m and 6.0m.

Designed for fast drilling, the Kronos is equipped with a heavy-duty frame and has five rows of sowing tines. Reco says that with its exceptional clearance, it is suitable for shallow soil preparations with crop residues.

Straight semi-rigid tines are said to guarantee accurate seed placement even in hard soil conditions and stony ground. Sowing depth is managed by ground wheels at the front and with a FarmFlex roller at the rear to press the seedbed.

The Kronos is equipped with a 1,700 litre hopper. Pneumatic distribution is supported by Sulkys ADS system and its precise distribution head. The single metering unit is driven by an electric motor with a radar speed sensor managed by the Pilot control box.

Reco claims a low power requirement for the high working speed, and says the drill will establish crops easily at speeds up to 12, or even 15kph in suitable conditions. This, the company explains will provide high working rates up to around 5 ha/h.
