Cultivator pertinent for reduced and zero-till

The Guttler brand has many products which are pertinent to the current drive towards reduced tillage and zero tillage, says importer Wox Agri.

The tined Supermaxx cultivator has a working range from 3–12m in mounted and trailed formats. Paddle options are available for the plough-based system with five rows of tines and reinforced helpers as a standard fitment. Rear following harrows are fitted either before the roller or afterwards.

The ability to run the machine on gauge wheels at the front of the machine or on a combination of gauge wheels and roller is important, as in many cases the weather will dictate the machine’s performance.

The Guttler brand, synonymous with the Prisma ring profile, has in its range rollers from 3–12.4m, with adoptions of tines and seeders giving the perfect partner to the Supermaxx for re-consolidation, shallow harrowing and straw raking.

Wox says ability to follow the rigs and ground contours cannot be equalled in the marketplace, with its unique pendular movement the full width of the frame work.

Individual gangs of 1.5m allow for flexing and self-cleaning in difficult conditions but in dry conditions offer optimum seed-to-soil contact. Air brakes, wheel and tyre equipment of 15.0/55-17 10PR give the machine a long-term position in any farm’s inventory.

Benefits of the Guttler brand:

  • Adjustable tine depth allows the cultivator to work in the top layers of the soil for incorporating chopped straw and encouraging chitting
  • Tines can be set deeper to prepare soil for potato crops
  • Depth adjustment in 1cm increments
  • Economical on fuel – reducing the tine depth by 1cm with save fuel
  • Modular range allows you to add a number of variables to the machine – flat spring paddles, rollfix roller or seeders to allow this single machine to be adapted for a variety of functions.
