Evenings with farming favourites in support of FCN

Fans of TV’s ‘The Yorkshire Vet’ and ‘Our Yorkshire Farm’ will be given a unique opportunity to hear from stars Julian Norton and Amanda Owen and ask questions during two upcoming online charity events.

The Q&A events, coordinated by farming support charity The Farming Community Network (FCN) and the NFU, are about staying positive and tackling 2021 with an optimistic outlook.

  • On 26th January (7:00pm – 8:15pm), FCN will be hosting a live Q&A session with Julian Norton, star of Channel 5’s ‘The Yorkshire Vet’.
  • On 16th February (7:00pm – 8:15pm), a Q&A will be held with Amanda Owen, the Yorkshire Shepherdess, who features alongside her family in Channel 5’s ‘Our Yorkshire Farm’.

Audience members will have an opportunity to submit questions, some of which will be answered live during the events.

Funds raised from ticket sales will go towards FCN, a national charity with volunteers throughout England and Wales, which supports farmers and farming families during difficult times.

Alex Phillimore, Marketing and Communications Manager with The Farming Community Network, said: “These two online events are a fantastic way of fighting those lockdown blues and will provide a unique opportunity to hear from Julian and Amanda in a relaxed environment. With the UK in lockdown again for the foreseeable future, we wanted to do our part in keeping spirits high and bringing people together in a safe environment.

“We are very grateful to Julian and Amanda for their time and we hope that people will enjoy this opportunity to hear from them about their own lockdown experiences and how they stay positive and mentally well during challenging times.

“For those in the farming community who may be experiencing difficulty, FCN is here to listen, support you and connect you with appropriate help. You can contact us through our Helpline (03000 111 999) and e-Helpline (help@fcn.org.uk).”
