Opportunity to visit the ADAS led long-term trial investigating the impact of organic materials on soil health; six different treatments measured over a number of years.

Soils are one of our most precious natural resources, but years of erosion and production have taken their toll. Can we do something to replenish them and is sugar beet a friend or foe?

Speakers:
Dr Anne Bhogal (ADAS) – trial site tour and key results.
Dr Simon Bowen (BBRO) – Soil health and sugar beet: what’s good for the crop and what’s good for the soil.
Dr Elizabeth Stockdale (NIAB) – Monitoring and managing soil. Putting soil health into perspective and understanding opportunities.

Terrington St Clements is home to the ADAS led long-term trial investigating the impact of organic materials on soil health; six different treatments measured over a number of years with a mixed rotation. NRoSO and BASIS points available.
