Writtle Farmers Club Meeting
The next Writtle Farmers Club meeting is taking place on Friday 2nd June, from 2pm to 5pm, in the Northumberland Theatre at Writtle University College.
The afternoon meeting will focus on the integration of livestock into arable systems and explore the potential opportunities and challenges, alongside an open discussion on how the group envisage the Writtle Farmers Club developing.
The event will start with a welcome from Dr Harriet Wishart and overview of the roles livestock can play within arable systems. Next will follow live case studies from East Anglian farmers, sharing their experiences of livestock/arable systems and the challenges faced. Then all attendees will be invited to take part in a workshop to share their views on the different challenges and how these could be overcome.
During the afternoon Dr Harriet Wishart will discuss the use of technology and data as an essential tool to inform livestock management and grazing decision making.
Finally, there will be a discussion regarding how Writtle University College can engage with farmers to create further knowledge exchange, research opportunities and collaborations between farmers. What the future of the farmers clubs looks like and what YOU would like it to do.
You must book your place to attend.
