Assistant farm manager

iSQ Recruitment is searching for an assistant farm manager to join a well-established farming business.
- Contract type: Permanent / full time
- Location: Immingham, Lincolnshire (rural location)
- Salary: Competitive + benefits
What does the role look like?
- You will need your own transport due to the rural location
- You will support the farm manager in the day-to-day running of the farm, overseeing and maintaining its high standard bird welfare, productivity and site security
- You will assist in maintaining the optimal farm conditions, and ensure smooth operations across the board.
What are the key responsibilities?
- Monitor and manage ventilation, lighting, feed, and water systems
- Supervise and motivate staff and contractors
- Keep the site secure, clean, and compliant with health & safety
- Attend relevant training and take on additional duties as needed
What skills / experience do I need?
- You must have a strong background in livestock or poultry farming
- You must be experienced in stock/farm management
- You must be able to work flexibly including weekends
- You must have strong communication skills
- You must be able to work well in a team.
