Transport Planner

Working hours: 7am-5pm Monday to Friday, Saturday mornings 7-11am

R. Adams & Sons is looking for one very special person to join its small, family-run team on a permanent basis at a haulage company, based in Henley-in-Arden. The role will be office-based.
What are your responsibilities?
The transport planner will have the following responsibilities:
- Planning work for up to 50 drivers
- Working between the hours of 7am-5pm Monday to Friday, Saturday mornings 7-11am
- Health and safety duties, please ask for more questions
- Applicant must drive, be clean and tidy, be able to work in a team – 75% of office staff are family members
- Data/invoice input will be expected (to cover staff holiday).
What experience and attributes do I need?
To be successful as a transport planner:
- You must be organised, self-motivated, and responsible
- You will have knowledge of UK road systems, as we deliver all over the UK
- You must be able to take direction from directors as you will be working closely with them
- You will be sociable and be able to take customer orders and enter work in bespoke programs
- You must have good communication skills (dealing with drivers’ hours)
- Basic accounts would be a preference but not essential.
