Sales Executive

Vencomatic Group would love to add you to its UK sales team as a sales executive.
You will be selling all products produced by The Vencomatic Group and selected industry specific suppliers.
Customer and dealer relations are of great importance. You need to think with the customer in finding efficient housing, egg handling and climate control solutions for each type of poultry house.
More about the role
- Mainly a field role, you will have to travel distances throughout the UK, visiting sites with occasional days away
- Meetings will be held at our Thirsk HQ
- Your line manager will be Technical Director, Ben McGill
- You will be expected to generate your own leads as well as service existing customers
- You will liaise with other team members and contractors to ensure smooth sale to project handover.
What are your responsibilities?
- Holding face to face meetings with customers
- Attending trade shows and exhibitions
- Developing new business by prospecting within all sectors of the poultry industry
- Escorting customers on sales visits to the company’s head office in the Netherlands
- Working closely with the project team to develop quotes for customers
What qualities will I need?
You will need to:
- Demonstrate a first-class approach to customer excellence, dealing with all enquiries in a conscientious, mature and professional manner with attention to detail and flexibility at all times
- Be a motivating member of our sales team
- Be a confident communicator with a good telephone manner
- Gain thorough knowledge of Vencomatic Group equipment and all related products
- Be able to methodically and accurately record detailed information and organise tasks
- Have competent computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft office, including excel
- Knowledge of AutoCAD an advantage but not essential
- Experience within the agricultural industry preferred but not essential
- A positive attitude to learning new tasks
- Be competent in writing letters, reports and emails
- Ability to organise personal working schedule, prioritise issues and respond to customer demand
- Other reasonable duties imposed from time to time.
