The event was also attended by some special guests, including the mayor, councillor Sandra Spencer and her consort, whose presence made the day even more memorable.

A spokesperson for Rea Valley Tractors said: “Since relocating from Sudbury last November, our 30,000 sq. ft. facility – formerly Russells’ site – has been bustling with activity, so it was great to throw open the doors and officially show you what our team has been working on.

“The event was an opportunity to showcase the latest agricultural machinery and technology available through Rea Valley Tractors, as well as introduce the depot team who deliver local support to the surrounding farming community.”

With hands-on access to the latest New Holland tractors and harvest machinery, alongside equipment from JCB, Kuhn, Bailey Trailers, Joskin, Husqvarna, Milwaukee, Stihl, and more, the day was full of activity, interaction, and practical demonstrations.

Visitors had the chance to speak with the dealership’s product specialists, explore features up close, and get professional advice for the season ahead – all while enjoying a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

‘The warm hospitality was a big hit’

“There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day, with a steady buzz of conversation, machinery demos, and friendly faces all around. The warm hospitality was a big hit – with plenty of food and drink available all day, keeping everyone fuelled through to the evening, especially handy for those popping in after work.

“We thoroughly enjoyed catching up with customers, sharing stories from the field, and meeting new visitors who were exploring what Rea Valley Tractors has to offer for the first time. It was a great reminder of the strength and support within the local farming community – something we’re proud to be part of,” a spokesperson for Rea Valley Tractors added.

Matt Mulligan, managing director, commented on the significance of the event : “Open days like Cubley are a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with the community we proudly serve. It’s about more than showcasing machinery, it’s a chance to really understand the people behind the farms and businesses we support everyday.

“We’re proud to offer a local service, delivered by local people with real experience in the agricultural industry, ensuring our customers have dependable support when it matters most”.

Rea Valley Tractors has experienced sustained growth since being appointed as a New Holland dealer in 2022. This was a “pivotal moment” that set the stage for major expansion, the company’s team said.

Throughout 2023, Rea Valley Tractors extended its footprint by opening new depots across Cheshire, North Wales, and Lancashire, alongside the strategic acquisition of Teme Valley Tractors.

The Cubley depot remains a cornerstone of this growth, playing a key role in Rea Valley Tractors’ seven-depot network. With a team rooted in the local area and a facility built to meet the needs of modern agriculture, it continues to deliver on the company’s promise of reliable, locally delivered service, the company confirmed.
