Jeremy Clarkson has shared “bad news from Diddly Squat” and addressed rumours that Kaleb Cooper has been replaced as farm manager.

Ahead of planned activities to mark the launch of Clarkson’s Farm season 4, Jeremy Clarkson has revealed some “bad news” from his farm.

A press event to promote the new season has been cancelled due to the ongoing hot weather, which means Clarkson and the team are busy moving animals.

Announcing the cancellation, Clarkson said it was “annoying” because he had wanted to respond to rumours that Kaleb Cooper had been replaced.

“Well he hasn’t, he’s over there now, rolling the dribble of moisture we had yesterday into his mustard,” he said, as the camera panned to Kaleb in a tractor in the opposite field.

“Made a complete mess of everything”

He continued: “What happened is this, [Kaleb] went away on his speaking tour for a couple of months because he imagined that after four years I’d be able to manage on my own – but I didn’t.

“I made a complete mess of everything and had to bring in a young farmer called Harriet who’s brilliant and looked after the fort till he got back.

“That’s it. That’s the story.”

Clarkson concluded the video by sighing, and saying: “Gotta move the goats now.”

One of the toughest years

The latest season of Clarkson’s Farm is due to air on Amazon Prime on 23rd May.

Season 4 is set to show Clarkson tackling his most ambitious project to date – buying a pub.

Viewers will see Kaleb returning from his tour to discover someone else has been farming his patch, a Lamborghini tractor that’s showing its age, a large new bull and a herd of high-tech goats. Meanwhile, weather conditions make it one of the toughest years yet for British farmers.
