Agricultural machinery dealer G & J Peck has announced the relocation of its Ely head office to a new site in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.

A spokesperson for the company said: “We’re pleased to announce we have started to operate from our new site at Chatteris, the former Night Layer Leek site.
“We will shortly begin exciting development works on site, so please bear with us whilst our team operate from temporary facilities on site.
“You can continue to contact us on all existing numbers and our new Chatteris number, 01354 699505.”
New chapter for G & J Peck

Earlier this year, Jon Wareing, managing director of Pecks, said that in response to increasing pressures in the market, the company’s team had to make “some difficult decisions to reinforce the business’ place as a leading supplier of agricultural machinery in the region”.
He added: “The company’s board has been working hard behind the scenes to conduct a thorough review of the business to determine the best way to move forward.
“We have since made the decision to move our Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire operations to a new central headquarters in Chatteris — leading to the eventual closure of our Spalding, Ramsey, and Ely sites. Our Rendlesham and Dereham depots remain unchanged.”
The new postcode for the Chatteris site is PE16 6UZ. What3Words are: plans.storeroom.stocks
The site will be open from Monday till Friday 8am – 5:30pm, and on Saturday 8am – 12pm.
A spokesperson for G & J Peck added that the team has been working on several projects, including a new online shop, which is set to launch in the near future.
“We’d like to thank you once again for your support for Pecks, as we work towards our 180-year milestone of supporting British farmers,” they concluded.
