The company, founded by Roy Claydon in 1953, has been providing a nationwide service as a specialist tyre wholesaler.

Originally a local garage and petrol station, over time the business diversified and expanded to become a big player in the wholesale tyre market.

The RH Claydon team said: “After many years of proudly serving our valued customers, we want to inform you that RH Claydon will officially cease trading by the end of 2025.

“This decision has not been made lightly and comes after careful consideration from the family. We are incredibly grateful for the loyalty, support, and trust you’ve shown us over the last 72 years.

“Between now and our closing date, we will continue to operate and support our customers with the same level of service and care you’ve come to expect. Thank you for being part of our journey.”
