New era in dairy housing innovation: IAE launches Agri-Comfort
26th February 2026
At this year’s DairyTech, IAE unveiled Agri-Comfort – a comprehensive new range of cattle cubicles dedicated to improving cow welfare while directly supporting higher milk yields.

Agri-Comfort represents a shift in dairy housing design. By combining agricultural expertise with specialist partnerships, IAE is positioning cow comfort not as an optional extra but as a core driver of farm profitability.
Comfort as performance strategy
For progressive dairy farmers, the link between welfare and yield is no longer debated – it is measured.
Cows that spend more time lying down typically:
- Produce more milk
- Experience improved rumination
- Maintain better hoof condition
- Show reduced stress-related health issues
- Require fewer veterinary interventions.
Agri-Comfort has been developed around this biological principle: design housing systems that work with the cow’s natural movement and behaviour, and productivity will follow.
SuperFlex cubicles: Engineering that moves with the cow
As part of the range, IAE announced a UK partnership with SpeedGroup to introduce SuperFlex cubicles – a design that rethinks the traditional rigid stall.
Unlike fixed cubicle frames, SuperFlex systems are manufactured to flex in response to the cow’s natural lunging and rising motion. This flexibility reduces pressure points and abrasions commonly associated with conventional dairy housing.
The design achieves a carefully balanced outcome:
- Flexibility to reduce injury risk
- Structural stability to prevent bed sharing
- Improved stall usage by increasing cow comfort.
The result is greater lying time – a key metric in maximising milk output. By minimising discomfort during transitions between standing and lying, SuperFlex cubicles actively support both welfare and production performance.

Premium mattress systems: The foundation beneath the frame
To complement the adaptive cubicle system, IAE continues its long-standing collaboration with Huber Technik, a specialist in 100% new tyre rubber mattress systems.
The partnership, spanning 15 years with zero warranty claims, reflects a shared commitment to durability and quality. Huber Technik offers a 10-year warranty on its mattress systems – a testament to confidence in its materials and manufacturing standards.
What sets the mattress system apart?
- Manufactured using unvulcanised rubber, preserving elasticity and reducing cracking associated with heat-treated alternatives
- PAH-tested for harmful and carcinogenic substances – surprisingly not a standard requirement for dairy mattresses
- Installed as a continuous roll, minimising seams where debris and bacteria can accumulate
- Laid over 30–40mm foam cushioning, designed to mimic natural pasture surfaces.
By distributing weight evenly and supporting correct posture, the mattress system plays a vital role in tackling lameness – one of the most significant cost and welfare challenges in modern dairy farming.

Built on partnership, backed by expertise
Whether upgrading existing facilities or planning a complete renovation, farmers can work directly with the IAE sales team to ensure every agri-comfort project is tailored to their herd’s needs. From initial consultation and expert advice to onsite measurements and layout guidance, IAE provides comprehensive support throughout the design and installation process.
By combining practical farm experience with engineering expertise, the team helps farmers maximise space, improve cow flow, and implement comfort-led solutions that deliver long-term productivity benefits.
With Agri-Comfort, IAE is not simply supplying equipment – it is partnering with farmers to build the next generation of high-performance dairy housing.
