Practical solutions centre stage at CropTec 2026 from De Sangosse
8th January 2026
De Sangosse will be inviting growers, agronomists and sprayer operators to take a closer look at smarter, more resilient crop input strategies when it exhibits at LAMMA CropTec this January.

With increasing pressure on margins, resistance, regulation and application performance, the company will use the show to focus on practical solutions to help farmers get more from every pass, every input and every hectare.
Visitors to the De Sangosse stand will be able to explore a wide range of technologies covering glyphosate stewardship, water quality management, slug control, phosphate efficiency, and early-season nutrition – all backed by trials and on-farm experience.
According to De Sangosse, the theme for CropTec is simple – supporting better decision-making in a more challenging growing environment with smarter inputs and stronger margins.
“Growers are dealing with tighter rotations, more resistant weeds, variable drilling conditions and increasingly complex spray programmes,” explains Stuart Sutherland, technical business manager at De Sangosse.
“At CropTec, we want to have practical conversations about how to protect performance at every stage – from water in the tank through to rooting, establishment and harvest resilience.”
Glyphosate performance under the spotlight
A major focus on the stand will be glyphosate efficacy, with De Sangosse continuing to raise awareness of the often overlooked impact of water quality on herbicide performance. With a high proportion of UK farms using moderate to very hard water, unconditioned spray solutions can significantly reduce glyphosate uptake and consistency.
“Glyphosate remains a vital tool, but it has to be used correctly,” says Stuart. “Water hardness, mixing order and application technique all matter. We’ll be showing visitors how simple changes in practice can deliver cleaner kills, reduce re-sprays and protect farm margins now and into the future.”
Demonstrations on the stand will explain how targeted water conditioning and adjuvant choice can improve reliability, particularly in challenging autumn and spring conditions.
Smarter slug control and phosphate efficiency
With slug pressure continuing to be unpredictable, De Sangosse will also highlight its ferric phosphate-based slug control solutions, and the unique attributes delivering top-performing slug control in the field.
Visitors will be able to discuss integrated approaches to slug management that fit alongside cultivation and drilling strategies.
Alongside this, the company will showcase technologies designed to improve phosphate availability and efficiency, helping crops access nutrients already in the soil while reducing reliance on applied fertiliser.
“Phosphate efficiency isn’t just about cost – it’s about root exploration, early energy and resilience” explains Stuart. “Our focus is on helping crops find and use what’s already there, particularly in cold or compacted soils.”
Early establishment and stress resilience
Establishment remains a recurring challenge across cereals, oilseed rape and maize, particularly where drilling windows are tight or soils are variable. De Sangosse will be discussing how seed and early-season nutrition, biostimulants and targeted micronutrition can support faster rooting, better nutrient uptake and improved tolerance to early stress.
These approaches are increasingly being used not as ‘add-ons’, but as tools to protect yield potential from the very first stages of growth.
Technical seminar: turning insight into action
In addition to the stand, De Sangosse will be hosting a technical seminar at CropTec:
- Seminar title: From tank to target – making every glyphosate spray count
- Date and time: 14th January, 11:15am – 12:00pm
- Location: CropTec theatre, hall 4.
The session with Roger Bradbury from Bayer, David Felce from Midloe Farm Grange, John Cussans from ADAS, and Rob Suckling from De Sangosse, will take a deeper dive into glyphosate performance, water quality and spray application, combining technical insights with practical guidance that growers can take straight back to the farm. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of where performance is often lost and how to prevent it.

A chance to talk, challenge and compare
De Sangosse emphasises that CropTec is as much about conversation as it is about products.
“We want visitors to bring their questions, challenges and experiences,” says Stuart. “Whether it’s inconsistent glyphosate results, patchy establishment or slug pressure that won’t go away, our team will be on hand to talk through options and share our expertise.”
With a strong focus on stewardship, efficiency and return on investment, De Sangosse believes its presence at CropTec will be particularly relevant for growers planning for the 2026 season and beyond.
Visitors are encouraged to visit De Sangosse at CropTec, that will be co-locating with LAMMA in hall 11, stand 436 and attend the seminar to find out how smarter inputs can deliver stronger outcomes.
