Trailed cultivator boosts productivity

Cousins of Emneth is seeing increased interest in the larger working widths of its Patriot Cultivator.

The fully trailed and hydraulically folding models are available in 4.2m (on display at LAMMA), 5.4m and 6.6m working widths – ideal for increasing output. All models fold to 3m transport width.
Rigid loosening tines can be set to work 150–400mm deep. Cousins owns Quikfoot and one-piece points are fitted as standard, however other point options are available.
The disc sub-frames are hydraulically controlled and can be adjusted to the desired working depth while on the move. Front disc gangs can be set more or less aggressively relative to the rear according to soil conditions and desired finish.
The 500mm diameter disc blades are individually mounted on sealed hubs and rubber suspension units at 125mm centres.
Following the discs is an 810mm diameter HL Razor Ring Packer. The oversized 610mm axle-tube contacts the ground, allowing the support of a high load whilst maintaining consistent depth control and leaving a firmed level seedbed.
Depth control is maintained using swing over washers on the front drawbar ram and pin adjustment to the rear packer. A self-levelling drawbar allows the towing of a following implement.
