Tuckwells expands its Worlingworth showroom
21st January 2026
Tuckwells, a Suffolk-based agricultural and turf machinery dealer which has been operating since 1954, will expand its newly refurbished showroom at the Worlingworth outlet following the acquisition of Tomlinson Groundcare in May 2025.

The company said that the acquisition of Tomlinson Groundcare, formerly based in Buxhall, has strengthened Tuckwells’ position in the local turf market.
Since the move, the company has submitted a planning application to further develop the Worlingworth site to accommodate an expanding product range and to improve the customer experience. The application has recently been approved.
The proposed extension will add 99sqm of additional floor space, enabling the business to enhance its turf offering for customers across the region.
Managing director James Tuckwell said: “We anticipate an increase in customer demand for our turf equipment across East Suffolk and beyond since bringing Tomlinson Groundcare into the Tuckwells family.
“The refurbished showroom has already made a positive impact, but the planned extension will create a more customer-friendly flow between the showroom and our existing parts department.”

‘Go-to hub for grounds teams, contractors, estates and homeowner’
The additional space will not immediately result in new roles; however, Mr Tuckwell explained that job creation is expected as the division continues to grow.

He added: “Opening the expanded showroom space will not initially require additional staff, but as our turf division develops, we fully expect new opportunities to emerge. Investing in our facilities forms an important part of building future capacity within the business.”
Reflecting on the decision to invest further in the site, Mr Tuckwell added:“We’re genuinely excited about this next step. It’s a strong sign of confidence in the local area and in the long-term potential of the turf industry.
“The new extension reinforces our commitment to offering exceptional customer support, great facilities, and the expertise our customers rely on. We want Worlingworth to become a go-to hub for grounds teams, contractors, estates and homeowners.”
Tuckwells continues to perform strongly across key areas of the business despite what has been a challenging period for the wider agricultural industry.
Market uncertainty, rising input costs and ongoing labour and supply chain pressures have affected many UK farms and agri-businesses.
“Even against this backdrop, we are seeing robust performance in several core areas. Our tractor market share remains strong, adoption of precision technology continues to grow, and both our commercial, golf and homeowner turf sectors are delivering positive results.
“We will keep investing in our people, our depots and the services we provide so that customers can rely on us—whatever the wider industry conditions may be,” Mr Tuckwell added.
The Tuckwell team has also expressed gratitude to the company’s customers: “We’re incredibly grateful to all our customers who continue to put their trust in us. Tuckwells has always been about premium quality products coupled with long-term service and reliable support.
“As a family-run business, we’re proud to serve our local communities, and for anyone who hasn’t visited us before, we’d encourage you to stop by, meet the team and see what we can offer.”
