James treks to Everest Base Camp in aid of RABI
12th December 2025
“Trekking to Everest Base Camp has long been a dream of mine,” said James Brown of Brown&Co, who is currently making his way up the world’s highest mountain to raise funds for RABI.

James, a partner based in Brown&Co Rural’s Banbury office, has taken on a challenge to trek to Everest Base Camp, raising funds for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).
He is now six days into his twelve-day journey, and as he confirmed, the views are “absolutely breathtaking”.
James said: “The Brown & Co team work with farmers across England and Wales, and we know how important RABI’s work is in the industry and the impact that their work has on the lives of many in the UK’s rural sector.
“Trekking to Everest Base Camp has long been a dream of mine, and I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to do it this year. The opportunity was therefore presented to raise money for RABI, to highlight the challenging situation many farmers are facing and the vital services which RABI provide.”
In two days, James is set to reach Everest Base Camp. At 5,368 metres, this will be the highest point of his trip, after which the return journey will take four days.
“We are now well acclimatised to the altitude, and I am absolutely loving the experience. The scenery is awe-inspiring, especially with such clear weather,” he added.
