The rural crime officers were out on patrol in Balsham when they spotted a suspicious vehicle, packed with suspected hare coursers.

They quickly turned around and started to pursue the vehicle while another successfully deployed a stinger, eventually bringing the car to stop. The men then jumped out of the vehicle and bolted in different directions.

A spokesperson for the force said: “How many people can you fit in one car? You’d never guess… but this one had ten!

“Thankfully, officers managed to seize the vehicle and recover several dogs, which will now be safely rehomed. Our rural crime team continues to tackle hare coursing across Cambridgeshire.”

Cambridgeshire Police is urging people to always call 999 if they suspect a crime happening.
