Olly Harrison forced to cancel Liverpool’s annual Christmas tractor run
7th October 2025
The organiser of Liverpool’s annual Christmas tractor convoy, Olly Harrison, announced that the event has been cancelled due to safety concerns.

The farmer and YouTuber explained that the tractor run has not received support from police or local councils.
“Farmers are up for doing it, but we’ve not been able to have any support from the police in the last few years and the councils, in the last year particularly.
“It’s not going to be possible to hold it. If anything was to go wrong, it would be me who would end up in prison.
“With what happened at the Liverpool Parade, the popularity of it, and the sheer numbers of people that line the pavements now, it’s just not possible to do it anymore,” Mr Harrison said.
‘Sadly, all good things come to an end’
Mr Harrison said that without the police’s support he will not be able to ensure the safety of the event’s participants.
“Sadly, all good things come to an end. We’re never say never. If the council wants to take it on board, we’d provide the spectacle in a way that’s possible. We would do that, but at the moment I can’t see it happening. We just can’t risk anything going wrong,” he continued.
Mr Harrison also thanked everybody who attended the tractor parade over the years.
The event was launched in 2020 and has seen a significant number of decorated tractors driving through Knowsley and Liverpool, raising funds for Alder Hey children’s charity.
