Group behind Rea Valley Tractors to appoint administrators
21st August 2025
Dunstall Holdings Limited, and subsidiaries including Rea Valley Tractors, have announced an intention to appoint administrators, owing to challenges facing the group.

Directors of Dunstall Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries, which include Rea Valley Tractors, said the group is not currently in administration and continues to trade.
The ‘difficult decision’ has been taken due to ‘challenges currently facing the group’, according to a statement on RVT’s website.
This step provides the opportunity to explore options for the best route forward for the future of the business.
Subsidiaries of the group are: Rea Valley Tractors Limited, RVT Commercial Vehicles, Altegra Integrated Solutions Limited, Altegra Access & Security Systems Limited, Teme Valley Tractors Limited, and Teme Valley Tractors (Welshpool).
Teme Valley Tractors became part of the RVT family in November 2024.
Dunstall Holdings Limited said: ‘The group is not currently in administration and continues to trade with the support of its key stakeholders.’
A number of agricultural dealers have closed in recent years due to a combination of economic pressures, including rising costs and reduced demand from farmers facing financial strain or changing agricultural practices due to environmental schemes.

Rapidly evolving landscape
Tractor and agricultural equipment dealer Rea Valley Tractors has been in business for over 40 years.
It represents brands including New Holland, JCB and Kuhn Farm Machinery through eight branches covering Shropshire, Staffordshire, Lancashire, Cheshire and Mid & North Wales.
RVT’s Newport depot closed in November last year, as part of continued efforts to strengthen and optimise its operations across Shropshire and Staffordshire.
It had previously acquired the Russells Cubley depot which enhanced its capacity for after sales support and service.
New management
The business recently welcomed Shawn Blake as its new managing director, effective 4th August. He brings over 30 years of experience across sales, aftersales, and strategic development, gained through a range of senior leadership roles.
RVT said the appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the business as it faces challenging economic conditions and a rapidly evolving agricultural landscape.
It said in a statement: ‘The business is entering a period that demands not only resilience, but a bold shift in how it works, engages, and delivers value.’
