Crawfords consolidates Swingfield operations into Charing branch
10th September 2025
Crawfords Group has announced it will consolidate operations by relocating the Swingfield depot to the Charing branch.

Managing director Wes Crawford said that the decision has been made following a review of the business across Kent.
From 22nd September, all sales, parts, service, warranty, and breakdown cover will be handled from the Charing branch. Additional space will be provided at the depot to accommodate the extra trade, the company confirmed.
The majority of Swingfield mobile technicians will move to the Charing branch.
However, while the site will be closed, the team will continue to support account customers—by appointment—with spare parts and consumables while stocks last, Crawfords Group said.
Changes announced

Mr Crawford added: “We appreciate that this news may be disappointing for customers local to Swingfield; however, we are committed to supporting you through our dedicated team and the brands we represent.
“We are currently evaluating the best approach to this, specifically in terms of local parts supply, and will contact you again once this process has been finalised.”
Steve Day has been appointed branch manager at Charing, while Andy White will be relocating to the Charing depot as part of Crawfords’ new service team.
Alex Parker will be stepping into the role of parts manager at the Charing depot, Crawfords Group confirmed.
Mr Crawford added: “As we are all aware, agriculture is undergoing a challenging time on several levels; however, we are committed to supporting your business, and our consolidation in Kent will enable us to do this, both now and for many years to come.
“If you have any questions regarding the move, please do not hesitate to contact myself on 07970 248110 or Steve Day on 07885 708177.”
