A number of ponds are set to be created in the North Lincolnshire area, thanks to a new scheme funded by Natural England that is designed to protect the great crested newt (GCN) species.

UKRI and Defra have announced their R&D collaboration for an exciting new funding opportunity, Farming Innovation Pathways. 

Over the past three years, a Derbyshire farmer has successfully capitalised on over £15,000 of funding from Severn Trent’s environmental schemes, to protect water quality and improve farm efficiency.
