Mowers and low emission slurry application systems at LAMMA ‘24

Major Equipment is returning to LAMMA this year and launching a hedge cutter head, which it says has the power and performance to tackle the most vigorous jobs.

The MJ39 hedge cutter head produces a clean finish on hedgerows, shrubs and verges at fast forward speeds thanks to the impressive ‘blender-style’ mulching capabilities of the rotary head.

The gearbox driveline powers twin rotors and eight overlapping blades to deliver a tidy finish when thinning material or clearing dense brush, all in one pass. The hydraulic motor is fitted with an overrun clutch. The 1.43m heavy duty deck really shines turning overgrown hedges and scrubby areas into manageable structures for landscape control, the company says.

The Major hedge cutter “outperforms flail head systems in both productivity and maintenance”, the manufacturer says. With less wearing parts, the MJ39 is a durable and reliable attachment for contractors, councils and operators demanding minimal downtime and total cost of ownership.

The MJ39-143 has a universal connection for simple and quick attachment to most power arms. The MJ39-143D has larger gearboxes and fits booms on diggers in the 10–14-tonne range.

Visit the Major stand to see the new hedge cutter head, low emissions slurry applicators and the Cyclone agricultural mowers at LAMMA in the NEC Birmingham from 17-18th January 2024.

Stand number: Hall 8, Stand 640
