Jeremy Clarkson set to release latest ‘Diddly Squat’ book

‘Diddly Squat: ‘Til the Cows Come Home’ is a collection of Clarkson’s latest Sunday Times columns, detailing the next instalment of his farming adventure.

Self-proclaimed ‘trainee farmer’ Jeremy Clarkson is back with a new book this month, on his latest trials and tribulations at Diddly Squat Farm.

Clarkson’s first year in farming was documented in the hugely successful Amazon Prime series, which has also been renewed for a second season, as well as his first book, Diddly Squat: A Year on the Farm.

His antics, from his ‘too large’ Lamborghini tractor, to bouts of bickering with side-kick Kaleb Cooper, earned him popularity among the general public and farming viewers alike, whilst also highlighting the serious challenges faced by farming and rural communities.

Book one of the Diddly Squat series spanned his first year running his 1,000-acre farm in Oxfordshire. It ranges from laugh-out-loud entertainment from his views on the ‘endlessly annoying’ government and his obnoxious sheep, to the more serious concerns facing the industry.

Clarkson explains the serious profitability challenges of farming, frustrations caused by red tape while setting up his farm shop, and the industry’s health and safety record.

As viewers of the Clarkson’s Farm series will know, his first year in farming earned him just £144 profit. Diddly Squat: ‘Til the Cows Come Home is a collection of his latest Sunday Times farming columns, on his next steps as a ‘farmer-in-progress’.

Announcing his new book on Twitter, Clarkson wrote: ‘This has been described, by me mostly, as the best book ever.’

‘Til the Cows Come Home will be released on 29th September 2022, published by Penguin Michael Joseph.
