Country Sales Manager (Livestock Engineering Solutions)

Location: UK – South/South West 

A results-driven Sales Professional with exceptional interpersonal skills to actively engage customer prospects and drive sales growth in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for presenting, promoting, and selling their range of agricultural engineering products (Livestock housing and heavy duty mobile equipment) and services, while ensuring optimal customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities:

  •  Present, promote, and sell the range of agricultural / livestock engineering products/services through direct engagement with existing and prospective customers.
  • Optimise the customer experience to meet current needs and plan for future agricultural engineering developments with the farming client base.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships within the farming community.
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling and follow up on sales referrals.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximise satisfaction.
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets within schedule.
  • Maintain and report on sales funnel through regular meetings and feedback to the Managing Director (MD).
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
  • Analyse and report on sales territory, including market potential and competitive activities.
  • Provide the MD with reports on customer needs, interests, and potential opportunities.
  • Stay updated on best practices, industry specifications, and promotional trends in the target market.
  • Continuously improve the sales effort through feedback and engagement with the MD.
  • Submit sales forecasts with continuous updates.

Requirements and skills:

  •  Proven work experience as a Sales Executive in the general engineering sector, with a focus on agri engineering solutions.
  •  Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver solutions tailored to the farming community’s needs.
  • Relationship management and solution-driven skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agri Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of CAD, MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Prioritising, time management, and organisational skills.

The ideal candidate will:

  •  Adopt a solution-driven approach in sales engagement.
  •  Demonstrate a passion for customer service.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of the product range.
  • Identify prospective customers and ensure high quote/sales order conversion rates.
  • Emphasise the unique features of products to highlight their value to farming clients.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to customer inquiries.
