Witham Group named exclusive supplier of eco-friendly rust preventative lubricant

Award-winning lubricant Prolan meets the increasing demand for environmentally friendly products, as well as protecting components from rust and expanding the life of parts.

Witham Group has announced it is now the sole importer and distributor of the award-winning, natural high-performance lubricant, Prolan.

Bringing the benefits of lanolin-based lubricants – wool grease – to the fore and meeting the increasing demands for environmental and sustainable products, Witham says it is in prime position to impress customers with the variety of Prolan products on offer.

Its primary use is to protect components in the fight against rust and expand the life of the part. It is developed and engineered by experts in New Zealand who understand the frustrations and challenges corrosion can cause. What’s special about this lubricant, though, is the mix of eco-friendly ingredients that go into each and every can, Witham reckons.

Who can use it?

Such is the ease in which Prolan can be applied and the different viscosities available, the product is an excellent all-rounder and perfect for a whole range of jobs, according to Witham. It can be used by the agriculture, marine and horticulture sectors, as well as in workshops and at home.

Each of the five viscosities are non-carcinogenic, biodegradable and internationally certified by NSF International, the renowned public health and safety organisation.

Recognised by industry professionals

Prolan already boasts a strong reputation within the agricultural sector, scooping an innovation award at LAMMA. What’s more, strengthening its standing further, Prolan has been tried and tested by those facing rust hostility on a daily basis, Witham adds.

Ben Bowerman, of Godlingston Manor Farm in Dorset, said: “We have been very impressed with Prolan and apply it to our farm machinery to prevent corrosion and extend its useable life. It is so versatile and cost-effective – I would recommend Prolan to everyone.”

Witham Group managing director, Nigel Bottom, said Witham’s ambition with Prolan was to offer a solution to companies that are “actively addressing the use of chemicals in their supply chain and want to improve their sustainability credentials”.
