Luxury leather and country gifts brand expands its range

For those seeking a gift or special treat with a country or equestrian-inspired feel, we spoke to Greg Barrington Haston-Copeland, director at Grays 1922, which sells a popular range of luxury leather handbags, wallets and purses, as well as country-themed gifts.

Established in 1922, English brand Grays originally sold household items from a trailer at markets, before moving into agricultural and equestrian products in the 50s. Now, the company has over 1,000 products on its website, from its luxury leather range to fine art models and farm-themed gifts.

Grays’ designer handbags feature its iconic horse snaffle bit and the newest addition to the range is its cognac-coloured leather handbag and purse set, named ‘Jackie’, which launched last week.

The company’s range of bags, purses and wallets are particularly popular with the rural community at this time of year, says Greg, who worked for the company for around 15 years before taking it over in 2015.

Like all businesses, Grays has been unable to attend agricultural and country shows due to Covid-19, so it is bolstering its website in order to showcase its range of products. In addition to its leather range, it also offers accessories including hats, bracelets and keyrings featuring the snaffle decoration, as well as watches.

The country gifts range, meanwhile, comprises everything from farming and equestrian themes cards, giftwrap and decorations, to cushions and homeware.

In addition to this, Grays stocks bronzed sculptures and models, framed art and largest selection of Border Fine Arts available to buy online, including livestock, farmyard, tractor and dog models – providing something for every farmer or lover of rural life.
